Crash when turning on/off vsync

I've never done a bug report before, but I just want to help by pointing out a problem I'm encountering. When I turn vsync on or off it makes the game totally crash, and must be restarted. Hopefully it can help a little to know.
CPU - Ryzen 7 2700x
GPU - Radeon RX5700XT
RAM - 32GB dual
MB - ASRock b450 Steel Legend AM4
