Armor Blocks Variation

I think more armor blocks like what we had in SE1 would be great in SE2 as placing down 2 blocks or 10 blocks, just to create that one block that i need just for one open space to make it transitions smoother is tedious and time consuming, and i am not creating dozens of blueprints for such blocks,
also to create and build accurate ship from popular Star trek or Star wars or even from games like Star Citizen allow us to place blocks in a 45 degree or any such angle, then i can finally have my fin thrusters at an angle of 45 degrees. I don't want to use janky hinges that might lose power or get destroyed then my 45 angled fin is back to square one
Reference for this would be thruster on the Star Citizen Ship RSI Polaris.
