I always thought the jet packs were way too overpowered when you started a world in survival, for example you could just fly off the planet you were on just with your jet pack.
With the new boost mechanic i was thinking maybe the boost could be some sort of upgrade that you could get when you get a specific material in space.
So this would mean you would have to build a ship that is able to go to space before you yourself go to space.
Maybe the normal thrust on the jet pack could be ion thrust and only bring you so far in altitude and the boost mode could be more hydrogen, also maybe that could mean you don't need many hydrogen tanks in your inventory.
