Remote Programming Tool

With the addition of the paint gun, I would like to propose an Remote Programming Tool. A handheld Remote Programming Tool would enable the ability to adjust the parameters of a part that you aim at and have build rights to, even if the part does not have a console to access.
For example, such a tool would allow you to point at a light fixture that you have build rights to, and adjust the color, range, blink frequency, etc. of the light, or adjust the parameters of a mechanical part, such as a hinge, rotor, or piston.
The goal is to make working with blocks that may be in repeatable abundance more of an ease, for example, as trying to program the light fixture for one room can prove difficult in a build that has 30+ lights.
