A way to do exactly as the mod had done but on the game engines side to lower impact and keep with how useful this mod factually is, if you make complex things in SE 1 you LOVE BuildVision as a mod due to how much stress it takes out of figuring out which of the 30 wheels are the front axle or which thrusters to pack as a group.
I personally suggest you contact the mod creator and if you can make a deal or straight up hire them for the fair use of their work. This would greatly improve the quality of building even for newer users to the franchise.
