Upgrade Modules

Hey ive yet to snag the game yet but I just had a cool idea, in the upgrade module slots for assemblers/refineries/maybe batteries, having a way to "hard wire" the upgrades into some sort of upgrade module station would be awesome.

Having another small set of conveyers piped into a chain of refineries for example would look awesome, maybe for game balance having a permeant hard wire set of upgrades isn't as efficient as crafting one time use upgrade modules? I find a lot of joy piping and running that sort of stuff and having a seperate set of small conveyer runs through the production side of a base would be awesome.

i would like to bump this thread. we havent seen anything other than what we have seen from the systems in place and their icons showing the moduel insert locations.


how much can we upgrade the systems, can we modify the module inserts to only have all power effenciency? are we stuck with only ONE upgrade of each type per system? or can we modify the system itself to accept a certain set of blocks?


one persons ship might be over powered, so they dont care about efficency, but my ships try to run as low impact as possible, if i could run every system with a couple of solar pannels and a battery pack alone, you know i would try and do that as a challenge for myself.


more info/ideas about what could be needs to be discussed.
