It appears that the Light Armor Slope 0.5m you are trying to the place the Corner Light 0.5m is disconnected from the rest of the grid. Please note that the edge of the slope armor block is not a connection point and thus, when a line of slope armor blocks connected only by the side of first block in line gets divided by deleting one or more blocks in the line, part of it not connected to the first block in line is treated as a separate grid.
In order to prevent this, a support line of blocks can be build beneath the slope armor blocks so that it stays connected to the main grid.
As this is intended behaviour, I am closing this thread.
