Shift click works intermittently in menu

When in the control panel menu for parts attached to a grid, shift+click only works if you do not scroll along the list. Selecting multiple parts causes it to no longer function and only select a singular part.
1. get into a grid
2. press 'K' to access control panel menu
3. click on any part
4. scroll down list
5. shift+click on another part
