Reflections are laggy
Not a Bug
Hey, I was playing some SE2 and I noticed that the reflections in the window are very laggy and also you cannot see yourself in the window. The effect is the same with any raytrace setting.
Here is a YouTube link bc. the max upload limit is at 64mb.
yep, super noticeable. Doesnt seem to be tied to any raytrace setting, even rtx off.

This is an effect of the polling rate of Cube maps for the light probes... (I think as I do not remember what tech is being used for reflections) it can take a lot of resources to poll quickly, which means they lowered it to make sure that it wouldn't take too much GPU time in rendering... it might be possible to make it run faster but the hardware needed would be much more.

Hello engineers,
Thank you for reaching out to our forum regarding this issue.
Ray tracing is currently applied only to opaque objects for performance reasons, while transparent objects rely on a fallback solution that may result in such visual issues. We are actively working on improving this fallback solution in the short term, and in the long term, we aim to implement proper ray-traced reflections on windows as part of ongoing optimizations.
We appreciate your suggestions and encourage you to share your feedback here, so we can analyze your ideas and might consider them for future updates.
For now, we will be closing this thread. We look forward to your feedback and thank you for your understanding.
Kind Regards,
