Bug with Symmetry Mode

Placing blocks in symmetry mode sometimes incorrectly places blocks - adding more/ less blocks on the opposite side. See picture attached:

Left side is the correct side, right side is incorrect... some blocks out of place.

Only seems to happen when placing multiple blocks at the same time. The game seems to over/ under compensate.

System info:

Processor12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400F 2.50 GHz

Installed RAM16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

System type64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

NVIDA GTX 1650

It looks to me like a rounding error. Placing your cursor on the half of the end block

that's furthest from the end of the line you're trying to build will result in the mirrored version of the placed line being exactly one block shorter (see attachments).

The same applies for plane building mode.

I couldn't catch the game "overcompensating" though, but the possibility is there.

That makes more sense than overcompensating. I just couldn't think of the right word! :D Thanks!

it can also happens if you have the paint tool in your hotbar, if you scroll through it, it will turn off symmetry mode when you're trying to get to another block.

Update - The game can actually place 1 extra block, but I'm yet to pinpoint the cause of it, as this variant of the bug is much, much harder to trigger.

When pasting blueprints in symmetry mode, the orientation of some mirrored blocks is wrong.

Been encountering this with a big build I'm making and my ship looked like swiss cheese!

Seems to happen with any module for copy and paste

I have this issue to. It doesn't mirror the grid. I can post a pic if you need.

happened to me when I was trying to paste a blueprint in symmetry mode. One side was right, and the other side was copied but the same direction.
