Radar and Heat Targeting System, as well as long range engagements

Under Consideration

Introduce the ability for players to engineer different types of targeting systems, with two primary options: Heat and Radar. If a temperature system is implemented, as another user suggested, heat-based targeting could encourage players to design cooling systems to avoid detection. For Radar, include both an active radar targeting system and a Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) to alert players when they are being scanned.

This system would promote creativity in designing stealthy ships, counter-detection strategies, and innovative ways to locate enemy vessels. Additionally, it could open up opportunities for long-range engagements with new weapon systems, enhancing tactical gameplay.

And a way to see some stats about scanned ships: weapons installed, power, thrust etc.

100%. I like the idea of having scanners that can tell you things about enemy ships. The more variety in scanning systems the better.
