No Steam Workshop support?

I have bought every single DLC release for SE1 and have bought the core game for several friends and family in part because of how easy it is to share and manage mods through SW. If Steam Workshop isn't a part of SE2, I won't be either.
Please rethink this decision as the community hates this direction.
