Not a Bug

HI Keen Team!

I have noticed that when I update my Workshop item it only changes the Thumbnail not the item itself.

STR

1 - Create a new Blueprint of a small ship without antenna on it.

2 - Change its name, add Tags, save and Publish.

(verified if really on the Worklshop and it is)

3 - Now add one antenna on the ship.

4 - Open the Blueprints menu and select that new Workshop item.

5 - Click the "Replace grid" button and left mouse click on the ship now having one antenna.

6 - Click the "Save" button and exit the Blueprint menu and close the G menu with Esc key.

7 - Now oipen the Blueprints menu and paste the Workshop item.

9 - Notice the antenna is not on it.

Additional information

The Workshop item updates only when we replace the local Blueprint and republish it,

so the "Replace Grid" button on the Workshop item in our Blueprints menu is only updating the WS item Thumbnail and not the item.

Hello Daniel Dupuis,

Functionality of updating blueprints that are published to Steam workshop has changed lately. Currently, to update the published blueprint, you have to republish it again after making changes.

How it works:

  1. Create a blueprint,
  2. Publish the blueprint,
  3. Make changes to the local blueprint,
  4. Publish the updated local blueprint,
  5. The Game should detect that there is already a blueprint with that name and give you an option to replace it, as seen in the screenshot,
    6403e5358824f72c7994c04d1086dc98
  6. After pressing Replace, the published blueprint should be updated with new local one.

As such I am closing this thread.

Kind Regards,

Bartosz
