Title: Reproducible crash on Fast Travel arrival at Vallation Assertion Failure in BindableBufferM
Exact stack trace:
Assertion Failure: 'record != null' evaluated to false at VRage.Render12/Resources/BindableBuffers/BindableBufferManager.cs:63 System.InvalidOperationException: Nullable object must have a value. at Keen.VRage.Render12.Resources.BindableBuffers.BindableBufferManager.CreateTransientConstantBuffer[TData] at Keen.VRage.Render12.PrepareStage.DrawCommandsGenerationJob.DoWork at Keen.VRage.Render12.GeometryStage.Passes.CullingJob.DoWork at Keen.VRage.Render12.Core.Systems.SceneDrawSystem.RenderLocalLightShadows at Keen.VRage.Render12.Core.Systems.SceneDrawSystem.RenderShadows
Additional note: A ~49s freeze ("StartingGame") was also detected by the Watchdog right before, during zone loading (2026-08-23 18:08:02).
The crash occurs precisely when the "VideoPlayerInProgress" tag is removed (end of the VallationCutscene), suggesting an issue in the transition between the cutscene and normal scene rendering.
Full log file attached (SpaceEngineers2_260823_180441_757_30076).
I have the same bug
Hello Sophie De France,
I could not reproduce this crash. Do you use any mods? Could you please provide your render.log from the same time as the attached log?
In the meantime, please try verifying Game files through Steam and lowering all Shadow graphical settings.
Kind Regards,
Bartosz
