Ship outline echoes when moving ships and around base in Veridian Halo

Build v2.3.0.2791

The two attached videos show a ghostly echo of the outlines of ships as I move around my base in the Veridian Halo. The effect doesn't show as pronounced in the 1080p screen capture as it does in 4K, but you can definitely see it as you move around the base. Ghostly echoes of the ships appear and then fade out as a player moves around.

My graphics settings are the High Preset and Quality for Performance vs. Quality.

I'm wondering if this is an artifact of the particle effect set in the asteroid belt to give it that dusty appearance. I have not noticed it at other locations. Maybe its effect is set too close to the viewpoint and not far enough back from the player or ships to have it ignored when rendering?

I also have not experienced a storm yet, so I haven't had a chance to check if this effect is also showing up there.

If this is a deliberate effect, you might consider adding a switch under the Settings to allow players to either turn the effect on and off or to adjust the distance to minimize or eliminate the effect.

I'm also wondering if this is part of the lag/reduced FPS that I was experiencing when having a base at this particular location.

On a follow up note, this effect only appears when I am sliding the character around left or right (wsad movement) and does not occur when twisting (arrow keys). See attached video.

This is a follow-up email. I am currently running missions in the Oblivara Sector, which regularly takes me into the Oblivara Ferric Drift. As my ships move through the drift, I am noticing the ghostly trails from asteroids large and small. This is in addition to the ghost outlines if I move the ship around.

I tried to capture several videos of the effect, which is greatest when you are moving towards the brown dusty regions of the asteroid fields. The effect appears to occur in all areas of the screen, but is dependent on the brown dust field being visible against the asteroids and ships.

I've seen this effect in all of the planetary rings and similar also.
