SIGNIFICANT memory leak issues!

I literally don't know what to say.

I played for a few hours and started getting issues with stuttering and my game's sim speed dropping. So, naturally, I took a break.

Meant to restart my computer once I got back on, but it slipped my mind. I'm not sure if that would've helped, but only about an hour and a half into that session, the stuttering got GENUINELY unplayable.

This kind of behavior, as I understand things, is likely to be a memory leak. I know that SE2 has a history with memory leaks already, but clearly that history hasn't ended, which is very unfortunate.

I only have these two videos to show for it, but they prove that this is a GENUINE issue. The two clips are only about 20 minutes apart.

You should add your game files, Rendering12.log. i was having crashes i think stemmed from graphics on linux after 85 hours like Vram was being overloaded, im just curious if this relates

I’m experiencing the same problem. I believe it is caused by random encounters accumulating in the world or save file. I cleared them using the F12 debug menu, and my CPU load and fan speed immediately returned to normal. However, after doing that, I could no longer save the game—it crashes every time I try.

My PC specifications:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • 32 GB DDR5-6000
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080

Hello,

turns out that removing cache files helps for some time, but I need to do it regularly. So I think its not random event related.
