Disable the Renegade Base - Can't complete contract

I'm trying to complete the "Disable the Renegade Base" on the surface of Verdure, where the objectives are to:

> Destroy the parked fighters, the base defences, and the hydrogen storage area.

Not only to I believe I've done that but also pretty much dismantled the entire base for materials (as any good engineers should do ;) )

Its definitely bugged but it somehow worked on the 2nd try. wasn't able to complete it yesterday, grinded down the whole base, even dug inside the mountain to the mission marker... nothing. decided to try it again today, so i went back to the vallis reach, abandoned the mission and started it again. the whole base respawned. i grinded down the gattling turret, then the cockpit, storage and battery of each fighter and once i disassembled the last hydrogen tank - mission complete!

I attached a screenshot as proof and to show you don't have to grind down every single part of the fighters because - well, after it didn't complete yesterday i wasn't sure what would count as "destroyed fighter" - so i tediously started grinding down every single piece of armour. now my guess would be cockpit gone, it counts. hope that saves someones time, cheers

Thanks @Philipp, I'll tried that and hopefully ***5th*** time's a charm - something I forgot to say in my original post. While there have been two hotfixes since posting this I don't think anything was directly or indirectly related by worth ago.

I was finally able to complete this contract, but only after completely destroying all three parked fighters with rockets.

Grinding the fighters down until they were non-functional did not complete the objective. I removed their functional blocks and also completely dismantled all of the hydrogen tanks, but the contract still remained incomplete.

After abandoning and accepting the contract again, the base respawned without the hydrogen tanks. Eventually, I used rockets to destroy all three fighters until almost nothing remained of their grids. The contract completed immediately after the third fighter was completely destroyed.

It appears that the objective may be checking whether the entire fighter grids have been destroyed or removed, rather than whether the fighters have merely been disabled, as stated in the contract description. Alternatively, destruction performed with the grinder may not always be registered correctly.

Game version: 2.3.

I'm pretty sure the underlying logic is detecting that the grid has "disappeared", for me that was the battery/cockpit on the fighters, the hydrogen tanks in the base and the turret. Destroying the base battery/turning off anything breaks the mission somehow.

(dev hat on) - I'm pretty sure the game is looking for a specific grid {name - object} to be destroyed, and the grid stops existing for the mission if you take certain strategies, hence why some players had to do unorthodox things to get the mission to clear.

So far it seems every mission players had problems clearing:

- Multiple objectives

- Potentially saving the game and reloading it while the mission was active, which seems to reset the progress tracking

- Missions only clear when the grid is "destroyed" or the object on the objective is destroyed. With this mission specifically, it seems like taking one of the fighters and flying it around for a while or using it to destroy the others may not accomplish the objective. The objective is to destroy them, but what it considers destroyed requires them being detached from the grid (as they will still be "parked" to the base grid if you saw off the platform.)

I basically cut off the platform the first time, but that didn't help, so I abandoned the mission, reloaded, and tried destroying the ships with a handheld rocket launcher, which completed the objective.
