No Speed meter?

Need More Information

Was messing around today and found that the speed display had completely vanished from my HUD. It didn't vanish when I was using the suit only, but the moment I was within a cockpit it required me to have the advanced telemetry active to view speed.

Not sure what else I can really add onto this to solve the issue

Hello Eternal Flame,

It seems that the Flight HUD is hidden. You can try to press "U" to cycle HUD elements visibility. Please note that the key has 3 states:

  • Flight HUD hidden
  • All HUD hidden
  • All HUD visible

Let me know if this helps.

Kind Regards,

This didn't help when I was trying. Since the two photos I added were both meant to be in the Flight HUD hidden state. Since I am appearing to be missing the speed at the bottom when in a ship, while I still have it using only the suit.

I have even attempted verifying my files to fix this issue, but the issue maintained.

We should be able to see the grid speed when the flight HUD is hidden, I agree.

To replicate this issue select flight HUD hidden and then enter/exit the cockpit.

When you are in suit you can see the speed in lower left.

When you enter the cockpit it is not possible to see the grid speed.

Some players will not want to use the flight HUD (it can get quite obnoxious without the ability to customise its transparency/size/colour etc). And so functionalities that reside only within the flight HUD like the grid speed should be made available on the traditional HUD.

Attached images show this issue in version 2.3.0.2798
