Wind turbine working on moving gird

as title says turbines continue to work even though grid is moving. This happens when a grid is a station then is converted to a ship by removing the ground supports which the turbine doesn't check if it has changed. turbines stop working after a reload

ohhh whats the max power output when moving at 300m/s

Not sure it was on a rover but i don't think it changed due it still thinking it was stationary the only time it might change is when you go higher or lower

Honestly I'm not entirely sure why (apart from game logic' a wind turbine wouldn't work on a vehicle anyway. Granted, it would add wind resistance which the game doesn't calculate in its flight or driving characteristics, but they would certain spin and there would absolutely be wind.

It would be interesting to have a turbine that uses movement speed instead of wind to create power especially for rovers

ohh i like that one, a atmo thruster style power generator for a rover. no thrust, just power generation. recharge battery while moving.

IMO, it reminds me of some of the silly "poster doesn't know, or willfully is being jokey" about plugging in an electric fan to blow a sail. The physics, in the real world, do not support this. Physics supports turning that fan around and you get a "hovercraft", but the power requirement is substantially high that it would never overcome any generation capacity by the same force.

Basically in the real world, doing that would be regenerative braking, always engaged. Anyway the way to make this make sense would be for the game to evaluate generators (eg reactors, solar, wind, etc) based on the actual environment, since the wind does get intense on the first planet, enough to blow your ship around if it's powered off.

Solar panels do seem to calculate based on sunlight. So perhaps the wind generators do the same for wind. It would make sense to, but driving the vehicle around with the wind generator engaged and exposed should require more power than the wind generators create to overcome that resistance. Likewise... has anyone checked if the wind generators "work" while moving through space? Seems like an oversight if it does.

They do work in space
