SE2 [drive automate &detonate] Menu UI is broken.

Reported

With the deployment of the latest se 2 update, the menu ui seems to be broken. When I press G or K the menu comes up but I am allowed only .....ONE.... click and the entire menu screen then becomes unresponsive. I would have to exit the menu, press G or K again and then click the next item. repeat.

I rolled the game back to the previous version and this issue immediately stopped. updated back to the new version and it started again. in all cases this is with me starting a brand new game

In addition to this, when I i click into the inventory of a container or access port I can not switch over to the control panel. pressing G while standing around brings me to the G menu but I cannot click over to the character menu.

There are a bunch of things broken with the menu in this update.

Hello Stuart Alleyne,

I could not reproduce this issue on Game version 2.3.0.2780 - all the Menus and UI are working correctly on my side. It may be that your download got corrupted at some point. Please verify your Game files through Steam and try again.

Let me know if this helps.

Ok I verified the files and everything checks out fine. However, my brain did a thing......... and I found the issue.

So I remember I had modified the controls to mimic the SE1 "click to interact" feature. Thus, I went into settings and reset all key binds. The menu issue stopped. Then, I went back and changed the [GRID - Interact/Enter block] keybind and ADDED left mouse click as the secondary function. The issue immediately came back.

From my testing it seems to only happen on that keybind specifically, as adding the left mouse click to a few other binds did not reproduce the error. Also, in my testing it looks like it doesn't matter if the left click is primary or secondary, Simply putting the left mouse click in that keybind breaks the G/K menu.

Hello Stuart Alleyne,

This is very interesting, indeed binding LMB to any other function does cause this issue. I have reported this issue and attached this thread to our internal ticket (SE2-34137).

Hello Isaac Sweet,

Have you by any chance binded LMB to "Interact / Enter Block" function? We are aware of an issue where binding LMB to this function causes UI related problems.

Could you please confirm that the above describes your issue?

Yes, LMB is bound to "Interact / Enter Block". I just tried it without LMB bound to "Interact / Enter Block", all of it works now. Thanks
