No Magnesium Spawn Found After Extensive Exploration
Need More Information
Current SE2 alpha build.
I explored over 200 asteroids, traveled more than 208 km from the starter base, reached the moon, salvaged many wrecks and looted multiple stations.
Resources found:
- Iron
- Nickel
- Silicon
- Ice
- Gold
- Copper
- Cobalt
But absolutely no Magnesium deposits anywhere.
The progression mission requiring:
- rifles
- rockets
- ammunition
becomes effectively impossible without Magnesium.

In the Verdure sector, magnesium ore can be only found in the Viridian Halo - Verdure's planetary ring. I was able to find Magnesium ore in the ring just above the Vallation Station.

I had a similar issue and also explored extensively hundreds of asteroids around Kemik and in the various halos. Spent four hours at least asteroid hopping in four sectors and never found so much as a milligram of magnesium. There may be something to this beyond looking in the wrong place, but I couldn't tell you what it is.

i aggree to this: magnesium could only be fount at the asteroid ring of verdure, i could not find any in the kemit sector or the asteroid ring around kemit. But is supposed to be found there in the kemit sector

Yeh, Mg is a bit of hit and miss. The easiest way i found is to grab a prospector ship (it's got the large ore scanner) head start out to the innner ring from the station, then putter along just inside the ring layer (u can also check out the workshop for mods that booster ore detection that help alot.) just keep working around and you should start hitting some Mg and uranium in the same area. also save game before heading out so if u don't find any, restart save. sometimes it helps.
