Operation Failed error on opening inventory

I just started the game for the first time. Created a new world and once it loaded I walked to the drop pod. I tried to open inventory (using tab) just testing controls. A message box popped up saying:
Operation Failed an unknown error has occurred. Please retry th action. See log for more details.
It gives the a button to click saying "ok" but when clicked it does nothing. I can't get the box to go away and must close the game using steam.

There were three log files. I did try more than once and deleted and created a new world just to see if that worked. Thank You for your response.

Please try the following steps:
C:\Users(your_username)\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2
Please note that this will delete all save files and blueprints, so we strongly recommend creating a backup beforehand.
In Steam:
Right-click Space Engineers 2 → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files
