Can't get support blocks to generate when pasting blueprints

I made a creative world and flew over to Verdure to work on an atmospheric ship I had started in space. But when I got to the surface, I couldn't figure out how to get the auto-generated supports to spawn. I tried different alignment modes, different rotation angles, different heights, etc. I eventually even tried some other blueprints from the workshop, including Bullfrog and a stationary module someone had uploaded.

I've asked for help in the Discord, and I don't seem to be doing anything wrong. It's just not working for me.

Hello Allison M,


Support blocks are generated only in Survival mode currently, however, I can recommend you two ways to solve this:

  • You can switch your gamemode in Debug Menu -> Gameplay -> Survival and turn Global Creative to OFF, paste your blueprint and turn the Global Creative ON again and then weld the blueprint starting with the support blocks (Welding in Creative mode does not use any resources / components)
  • If you don't want to use the Debug Menu, you can always place support blocks manually, for example by creating a small tower out of 50 cm Armor blocks and then pasting your blueprint on it.


As this is intended behavior rather than a bug, I will close this thread as Not a Bug.
