mouse freezing every few seconds

Won't Fix

When I'm running space engineers 2, my mouse will freeze for a second or 2 if I'm moving it. This occurs every few seconds and is rather disruptive and irritating. This occurs whether I'm in game, in the pause menu, or even in the main menu,, even if the game window is minimized and I'm doing something else. my pc specs and mouse model are as follows

Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 5 4500 Six Core CPU (3.6GHz-4.1GHz/11MB CACHE/AM4)

Motherboard: ASUS® PRIME B550-PLUS (AM4, DDR4, PCIe 4.0)

Memory (RAM): 16GB PCS PRO DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB)

Graphics Card: 6GB ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 3050 SOLO - HDMI, 3 x DP

SSD Drive: 1TB PCS PCIe M.2 SSD (3500 MB/R, 3200 MB/W)

Mouse Model: GXT 960 Gaming Mouse

Hello C0smic,

It is possible that there are other processes running in the background and there is not enough resources for the game. You can check that with Task Manager and clean the unnecessary processes.

I am experiencing the exact same issue described by c0smic. To help you investigate, I’ve ruled out several common causes:

Attempted Fixes: Changed mouse polling rates and disabled Windows High DPI optimizations.
Performance: In-game stats (F11) show stable performance; the engine runs fine during the stuttering.
Key Finding: The issue occurs only when moving the camera with the mouse. Using the arrow keys results in perfectly smooth movement, which strongly suggests a conflict with mouse input handling.

My System Specifications:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (16-Core)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Ti VISION
RAM: 32.0 GB
Mouse: Logitech G502 X Plus (Lightforce switches)
OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit

Hi,

I have been experiencing this same issue since launch. There was a fix to a mouse acceleration issue in the last hotfix (2.2.0.2002) that I was experiencing as well, and now the only mouse issue left is this random stuttering when moving the mouse from side to side. I have a feeling that these issues are related in some way so ill link to this from the solved thread.
