Answering to myself because I sent the report without text (the UI of the support forum seems a bit wonky).
I crashed the Grasshopper early on. After respawn I noticed that my backpack was traveling away at high speed. In the screenshot it has reached a distance of 9,83 km and is still moving at about 200 m/s, while the broken Grasshopper is still next to the station. The direction seems vaguely downwards, perhaps the backpack has fallen through the ground?
