Crash on loading

Need More Information

Greetings,

I am hoping you can help me. I am having an issue where my game crashes on loading. The initial load diagram appears, then about 10 seconds later it prompts me with 'your system does not meet minimum requirements', but I'm pretty sure my system exceeds the minimum. It says to check my logs, but I cant see anything in there to check. I am using a ryzen 5 5500, geforce rtx 5060 with 36gb, and I have over 100gb ssd available. If I revert to your previous version it runs ok and I have around 12 hours in this version.

So far I have tried all the usual tricks;

verifying files in steam

deleting and reinstalling

setting the file to run in admin mode

trying to load in dx11 and d3dx11

and anything else I could find on my google searches that I thought might do the trick.

I am a bit of a PC noob, so please, if you can think of anything else I can try, try to make it idiot proof instructions.

Hello Phil Weston,

Could you please provide your Game logs?

You can find them here (Type %appdata% in Windows Search bar to access the AppData folder):

C:\Users\(your_username)\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2\Temp\Logs

They will look like this:

Hello Phil Weston,

Thank you for providing logs. I can see that the Game recognizes your OS as Windows 8 which is not supported which results in a Crash. Do you run either the Game or Steam in compatibility mode?

Hello Bartosz,

Thank you for your swift response.

I'm not sure why, but Steam was running in compatibility mode. I have corrected this and the game is now fully loading. I knew the issue was user error, but I had no idea what I was doing wrong. Thank you so much for all your help.
