Contract not completing - scattered cargo

Robert Aide shared this bug 27 days ago
Solved

I have done this contract about five times with exit and restart a few times as well,

I've moved the five cargo containers into the warehouse - and made sure that they were all situated on the white tiles in case that matters.

I did receive an objective complete message with each of the five containers, but now that they are all in the warehouse, the mission does not show as complete, and if I travel back to the station, the only option I have is to abandon it.

This kind of kills it for me, since we can't accept more than one contract, and I'm at the point where even if I were to abandon this one, there are no other contracts behind it for me to attempt. I'm at a dead-end here.

I tried to attach my most recent save, but the interface replied with "invalid file type" messages for every file or folder I tried to attach from my save files location. I'm on Windows 11 if that has any bearing.

Thank you.

Hello Robert Aide,

The site should accept zip files in terms of Saved Games. As for the issue, could you please provide a video recording?

The issue is it is stuck on not giving credit for repairing the tug ship.

Mysteriously logged back in with ship and Cargo containers in hanger and got credit for it. After shutting down the game.

Hi,

I was able to proceed past this contract.  The last thing I had tried, after several different attempts, was to restart the contract and make sure that all 5 of the containers were in the marked area of the floor without ever being placed elsewhere.  At that point I was still unable to proceed so I saved it in order to try and have a current save to send, exited from the game, sent you my request, and then went back in to work on other things like ship and station building, and I discovered that it would now allow me to go to complete the contract.

I think the solution was to make sure that the cargo containers are placed entirely on the white area of the floor without ever being placed around the perimeter of the warehouse, and then a save and restart would allow me to proceed.  I guess my RL experience in warehouses which was to place the product neatly out of the way and not in the middle of the floor was working against me. LOL

Thank you for your attention, and I apologize for not adding to my report that the issue was fixed.

Hello Robert Aide,

Roger that, I'm glad to hear that the issue is solved. As for that specific Contract, the Area trigger was set too small so it only covers the white part of the floor which should be fixed in Vertical Slice 2.2.

I will close this thread.
