Issue switching resolution

Need More Information

Since last update (not sure if related) I can't change resolution to anything higher than 1080p.

For context, I have one display at 7680x2160 and one at 1080p. No matter the adapter or full/windowed mode, it won't allow more than 1080p

When released it never allowed setting a reasonable display resolution.

As the previous report post 10 months ago has been auto-archived....reposting manual work around here and giving thumbs to the OP.

=================================

Dig around the user \appdata\roaming\spaceengineers2\appdata\engineoptions\ folder

File "RenderDisplayOptionsPart" is the file with the resolution config.

"FullScreen": false,

"WindowedResolution": {

"X": 3000,

"Y": 1389

works perfectly. Just a pain to dig up.

Hello Jean-Guy Rivard,

Does this issue still occurs for you on current Game version: 2.0.2.51? Could you please attach a screenshot of your available adapters in the Game Settings?

Hi Bartosz,

Unfortunately lots has changed on my computer since, for example on linux now so that might make things too different.

But I'll take a look to see.

Ok, doesn't seem to be an issue, though as mentioned this is possibly due to OS switch.

Though a different issue, and possibly very niche.

I can write a new ticket if needed.

Basically, sometimes when I (should be) working, I setup my monitor in a Picture by Picture which sets the monitor to 1920x2160.

In this mode, SE2 only lists "portrait" modes (so 1080x1920) but not "landscape" which would be viable "1920x1080" which would fit. This is windowed mode.

Took a peek today and despite seeing RX7900 fine, still only gives me a dropdown for bad resolutions. The one at the bottom of the list is the resolution I run at which is set manually via config file.

I am also on linux. However rather than giving dropdowns exclusively, it seems a reasonable solution that one could be giving a custom resolution option and then just type whatever in.
