GPS Marker index appears to get corrupted on deletion of markers

Not a Bug

I had a long list of GPS markers. With the current bug that constantly shows every GPS marker in other sectors as a list on the HUD, there's no way to play the game. I gave in and deleted all but my own station markers and 3 uranium asteroids. However, after deleting all of the markers I no longer wanted, the existing markers no longer show on the HUD. They show on the GPS screen, but they no longer show on the HUD. This implies that after deletion of markers, the marker list is no longer valid for displaying on the HUD. It appears it needs to be re-indexed. I probably deleted 30-50 GPS markers and now have 5 that do not show on the HUD, rendering them useless.

Ah, there's no way to tell which GPS markers were created by the game or the user. I deleted all of my own GPS markers for the stations, rendering what was left as useless, seeing how they only have a 10km range... lol - whomever thought 10km would be enough distance never bothered playing the game much - hahaha move 30km away and your lost in space!

We should be able to adjust the range, and we deficiently require color coding of what the game made and what the user made for GPS markers. I now type my own markers in ALL CAPS. We also need to be able to remove and rename the markers the game creates.

Hello SuperDK7,

The GPS system will be expanded upon in upcoming Vertical Slice 2.2, which should address these issues. The 10km range on the Antennas is intended and will be tweaked most probably after VS2.2.

As the described behavior is currently expected and will change in VS2.2, I will close this thread as Not a Bug.

If you still experience issues with GPS markers after the release of VS2.2, please create new thread. Additionally, don't hesitate to post your suggestions about the Game in our Feedback section.

Kind Regards,
