Locate Shipwreck checkpoint broken

I'm not sure how to complete the "Locate Shipwreck" checkpoint. I found the shipwreck, the trigger that breaks a piece of it off happened, and I explored enough to hear the whole story-line conversation, but the checkpoint remains. Anyone get this to work?

same problem, In my case, I’ve just reached that point there are no conversations, there’s no event, nothing happens at all.

In my game, the Mining Contract on Verdura is complete but the marker is still at the Mining Post.
