Can't transfer ores between grids

Hello,
I accidentally fell in love with this game. I love the freedom to build and create new ships and structures. However, in the course of building and experimenting, a great quantity of resources are required. I have built a couple of different mining ships, but despite having checked that everything is connected properly, I can't seem to get ores to transfer between grids via the connectors when my mining ship is docked. Is this because the functionality hasn't yet been implemented, or is it because I've done something incorrectly?
However, power and hydrogen work fine.

I should add that I am playing in Survival mode, as well as the painting option also doesn't seem to be available. Thanks again!

It's great to see new Space Engineer!
As for the ore transfer - the functionality is not yet implemented. However, it will be shipped as a part of Vertical Slice 2.2 - The Production Lines which will enable Production Blocks to automatically push / pull items through the conveyor system.
As such, I will close this thread as Not a Bug.
