Keys "Y" and "Z" are switched with QWERTZ Keyboard Layouts
Not a Bug
See Title.
The Keys are switched when using a QWERTZ Layout (German ISO Layout in this specific case).
Tested with latest official Build of Space Engineers 2 Version 2.0.2.33.
It works fine in the old / original Space Engineers 1.
We really need to be able to change the Keybindings. So far I crashed the Tutorial Ship 3 times because the Game made me press the wrong Button. This is really annoying.
My OS System Language is set to EN_US and the Locale(s) is / are set to DE_DE. This works fine with 99 Percent of all Games I am using for the last 28+ something years and works fine with all the Software I am using. The Issue is clearly in the Space Engineers 2 Code.
Thanks and have a good Day!

I have the same bug
Hello Oliver Niebuhr,
This is expected behavior. QWERTZ keyboard layout is not supported by Space Engineers 2.
Please note that custom keybindings are planned for future Vertical Slices.
I will close this thread as such.
Kind Regards,

Just to be sure:
Are you saying SE2
A: does not support QWERTZ and other Keyboard Layouts until customizable Keybindings are implemented OR
B: will never support QWERTZ and other Keyboard Layouts
If the Answer is B = Never: Why making multiple steps forward with an upgraded Engine but multiple steps back in other Areas with the same Engine!?!?
Because in Space Engineers 1 the QWERTZ Layout works with the Default Keybindings by default. I have never changed the Keybindings in SE1!
