I have already replaced my smelter once and today when I load my last save I find that the smelter has vanished again.
I built it onto the starter platform and it was placed between a refinery and an assembler.
Gone again!

My smelter vanishes from gird; I have to had to rebuild it several times. It is connected to a conveyer. It appears to happen when I weave the area like it was getting cleaned.

I've experienced the same twice now. Every time I load into the save, it says there was an unknown block and that it was removed. It was the smelter I specifically remember having there, and I've had to replace it twice.

I experienced the same. For me it was somewhere between going to Kemik and unlocking some Tier 2 production from the first contract I completed there. When I returned to starter platform I was using as a base the Smelter disappeared. All the other production machines I had built on the platform were still in place, just the Smelter disappeared.

Just happened to me. I just loaded up the game from my last save, and lo behold my Smelter has vanished.

Happen to me 4 times.... the latest disappeared after relogging from the connector bug.... lost all the inventory also, was making 300 steel plates and 300 Construction components...bummer, and now out of iron lol

After getting the update for VS2 mine vanished. It was located at a base I built on the starter planet. All other blocks I built were unaltered. Wish we had creative tools so i don't have to waste resources making a new one just for it to potentially vanish again.

When loading save game I get a message "1 unknown block were removed from 'Starter platform'" and the Smelter is gone.

I just encountered this bug as well. I returned to my (Self Built) asteroid base after a two day mining trip, and discovered my Smelter is missing. If it helps, I had an assembler attached to the right, Conveyer Junction in the rear, and the Tool Forge attached at the top. Ghost image is where it was.

this happens to me about once every 2 ingame hours. I had this happen on multiple of my ground stations, can't say if it disappears during loading of the save-file or while the game is running. It is really frustrating.

Happend 2 times now. Smelter vanished. He is connected (from 1.left, 2.back, 3.right conveyour) 1. Gearforge 2. Assembler 3. Cargo Cotnainer 2,5m.

I've had one specific smelter poof on me 3 times on Kemik. The first time I lost 2 large cargo containers and a reactor with 6k uranium in it along with it because my lazy arse didn't put a floor under them. The second time I built it on the back side of a small cargo container so if it happened again only it would be lost, low and behold it happened again... Third time was a repeat of second time, only lost the smelter.
The first time it happened I was loading into game after work, I reloaded 3 times to the same problem of my base falling apart, to which I realized the smelter had poofed causing a disconnect between base with a floor and the over-hanging large cargo containers. I lost EVERYTHING in my cargo cans, they were damaged and game would not let me repair to functional, it stopped welding at just below getting fixed so I could empty it(yes I had the components on me)! Over 1T in cargo, gone!
The second time it poofed, I had gone asteroid exploring for a needed ore I hadn't found on Kemik, upon returning the same smelter had poofed again sometime between me leaving planet and returning, as it was there when I left planet with components queued in it...
The third time I don't remember exactly what I was doing besides knowing it happened while I was in game and knew it was there before I left base.
So far the only smelter I have had poof is the same one on Kemik repeatedly, none of the others either I've built or were already on station have had any issue. I have checked every base I've built on since reading of the issue on steam, for me it's only one of them.
I believe I still have a save file where I load in and everything falls apart the first time if that helps.
I also have this area where it flat out will not let me build my floor, the projections light up red saying they are blocked, but there is nothing there to block the build and no it wasn't my character in the way... I've tried everything including removing voxels and crouching to weld to using sneaky jetpack maneuvers I learned from Splitsie to removing the projected blocks and starting over. This one area just stays red... I built a base inside a cave going into the side of a volcano on Kemik.

I could not reproduce this issue on current Game version: v2.0.2.51. Does this issue still occurs for you?
