Camera resets to third person when exiting map

not sure why it does that but it does

Entering the colonization menu and leaving it switches me from first person to third person, I'm not sure if this is an intended mechanic but I'm guessing not.

If I'm in first-person mode (how I normally play) and I enter the map screen (by pressing M), when I return (either by clicking "Close" or pressing escape) the view is now in third-person mode.

This happens whether I am in a cockpit or controlling my player. But it bugs me much more when I'm out of cockpit because I basically never use third person to control the player.

This is much more of an issue now that GPS has been added to the map screen, before that addition I was only ever in the map screen when needing to fast travel between sectors.

To replicate, load any game make sure you are in first person view , press M to open the map, do not click in the text entry box and press V. Close the map and you should now be in third person.

This does not work the other way - you can't go from 3rd to 1st person this way.

Pressing C to crouch does not affect the character so the assumption is that the camera should not change either.
