A place to call home quest bug

Was following the quest and ground down the ore detector to put on my ship without realizing it was in the quest chain. I abandoned the quest and restarted it ang had to do some grinding to get the survival kit and antenna checkpoints to complete but got it. Attempted to do the same with the ore detector and welded then ground on the same spot a few times but it wont complete out

I have the same problem. Adding another Ore Detector as a replacement does not work. The task should complete with any functional Ore Detector.

I just repaired the detector before it was an objective, and now the objective won't complete.

The issue is the strictness of the mission (and similar ones like it). It seems to enforce both the exact instance of the blocks as well as the order of the repairs. If you repair the ore detector before the antenna you have to grind the detector back down and repair it again in order for the mission to progress correctly.
In a similar vein if you use components rather than ores to do repairs the markers for the ore mines / ice cave on the planet get stuck permanently since by the time the player decides to visit them (if ever) the mission that is supposed to remove the markers is no longer active and there doesn't seem to be any cleanup logic.

The same problem can happen if you remove a blueprint instead of building it. You won't have permission to replace the blueprint on that grid.

Grinding the detector ALMOST to zero then rebuilding it worked, clearly these missions were only tested by doing everything in exactly the correct order.

i had the problem that i removed the surivial kit with the grinder by accident. I couldn't get the tutorial to progress beyond that point and had to restart the whole tutorial. I tried grinding it down to 5% and restart the mission. Grinding it down completely and restart the mission with and without being registered at this base...
