What I would like to see in Space Engineers 2:

Not a Bug
  • Pirates, including pirate bases.
  • Raids on your resources or possibly on upcoming “treasures” like money, etc.
  • Random encounters (an abandoned mining ship, a spacecraft without fuel, etc.).
  • Environmental hazards (storms, meteors, hail — on a planet maybe dangerously large).
  • Resources should be adjustable before generating the world.
  • Few resource locations (if not adjustable). Players should have to explore and figure out how to move resources from A to B.
  • Weapons, turrets, etc. should not be done like in the first game. Combat should be slower with more tactical gameplay. For faster weapons, maybe you need to attach loading modules?
  • Add factions you can trade with or wage war against (understandable if this doesn’t make it in). Maybe also give them missions like bounties or “deliver this 1000 kg of ore” and earn a small ship, parts, or new components.
  • Currency should have real value.
  • Artifacts that you can place into a module to gain different buffs — rare loot worth searching for.

These are the things I would love to see in the game. I didn’t pay attention to how feasible or affordable any of this would be. These are simply my wishes for how it could become one of my favorite games of 2025… or 2026.
