Gravity generator adjustment can leave you hanging

I have been playing with the gravity generator settings, going from a +ve value to -ve value and back to +ve can leave the engineer hanging at an odd angle.
If you are standing in front of a gravity generator, jetpack off, and boots on the ground, changing gravity can flip you around and may leave you in mid space. Jetpack on and off will reset your position.
If you have jetpack off, feet on the ground and then press 'Z' , changing gravity behaves normally.
