Most block skin textures including default get very blurry up close and sometimes come into focus from a distance. No mods Ps5 Singleplayer

Several types of blocks have texture issues rendering like a blur rather then the correct texture. Two angles same texture. The fiber weave texture does the same thing.

Textures are dynamically downgraded depending on how many textured blocks, LCD screens and other you have in your vicinity. This is done for performance reasons.

Then why is it only happening on block sides that are half height while the full side is fine. This explanation doesn’t make sense. If anything it sounds like a bug with the ingame image scaling system.

Thank you for the report!
After investigating, we’ve confirmed that the blurry textures on consoles are caused by how the console manages memory. Since consoles have a limited amount of RAM, the game automatically lowers some texture details to prevent crashes or performance drops.
If the game didn’t adjust textures this way, it could easily run out of memory and crash during gameplay. It’s unfortunately a trade-off, and we understand this can be disappointing. We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support.
At this time, this isn’t something that can be changed, so the ticket will be closed as Won’t Fix.
