Small cargo container deletes contents.

Need More Information

I built a dock with ducting to my base for a new ship. Organized as base main large cargo container conveyed to small cargo container conveyed to a second small cargo container then a connector locked to a second connector to begin build. Items put in first container work as expected. The second container deletes whatever is placed in it within 1 second. No connectors anywhere is set to toss out. One sorter exists which pushes ore into base. Nothing pushes out of the base. I am baffled as to why. This time I am confident this is not as intended.

I restarted the game and server and the cargo container contents has returned. But now all of the voxel painting has returned but the voxel is still modified. Above the hole the grass is completely visible but the player falls through the grass. Another mine

The grass is back but the stairs through the grass is functional. The inner mine surfaces are invisible. The player stands on nothing. Making navigation difficult.

It seems to me, the game is corrupted. I’m now considering if I should start a new world. Any advice on how I can avoid such corruption in my next world?

Hello Engineer,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.

You've mentioned that you're playing on the server. Could you please tell us if you're using a Steam DS Manager or an external service?

Kind Regards,

It is on my micro-server but setup by a friend, who is now on a business trip. An answer may take a few more days.

A side note: had another very strange event that has resolved itself. I made a hydrogen thruster fighter. For a while it kept trying to fly away. Connected to deployable landing pad. Attached by connector and landing gear. It would start flying up trying to the transport rover with it. All thruster are turned off and 5/13 not connected yet. The completed ship is behaving now. So that is all the information I can offer on this event.

No I am not using a Streem Deck DS. I am using Keen SoftWare House’s Space Engineers Window server software and a PS5 Digital download Client.

Hello Engineer,

Unfortunately at this time we don't offer Steam Deck support. Could you please tell us if you're experiencing similar issues on other dedicated servers, for example official EOS servers?

I’m sorry you’re confusing me. Are you calling the game server downloaded from your site Stream Deck DS? Which is a;so the product name of a handheld device. In your responses you are repeatedly referring to this Steam Deck DS thing after I said I’m using your supplied server software which claims to be an EOS server and a PS5. Now a PS5Pro. The other player is using a PC.

Hello Engineer,

We apologize for the confusion, DS stands for Dedicated Server in this case. Could you please answer a few questions for us? When joining the server, what's the ping? You can see it in the Players Screen, accessible via the Right Stick radial menu.

Ping is 102.

Hello Engineer,

The ping is within reason. Could you please tell us if the voxel issues are still present for you? And if yes, could you please share the save with us? Ideally attached as a .zip file? If possible, a screenshot of the issue would also help.

Kind Regards,

We deleted the offending world and stared a new one. I don’t think we have a backup stored somewhere, but I doubt it.

The new world has not had this event occur.

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for letting us know. Please let us know if the issue reappears. Please pay attention to Trash Collector settings for voxel as those could cause some of the voxel reverting issues you mentioned.

Kind Regards,
