Joining Multiplayer non-Dedicated or Dedicated server

Attempt to join a server, get initial "joining world" and then a dialogue box "Reconnecting, Lost connection to Host/Server, Attempting reconnect...." which then loops back to the start.
This started after initially disconnecting on a dedicated server. Which happens occasionally anyway as I have satellite Internet.
I've tried rebooting router, restarting console, clearing cache, reinstalling game. I have experimental on but couldn't join servers with or without it on.
Friend could connect to me when I hosted a non-dedicated lobby.
Not sure what else I can do to remedy it.
