Effective Welder Range/Offset Reduction
One of my Ships has a small 3x3x2 printing bay to be able to print small fighters and drones without any moving parts like pistons:
This design always had a small deadzone with a 1x1x4 column of blocks right above the center of the connector not being in range of any of the welders. On any of the designs I made to go with this printer I thus made sure to have those spots either empty or covered by larger blocks.
However, with the latest update that column of blocks has turned into an entire 5x5 upside down pyramid of blocks that are all slightly outside welding range. (see partially disassembled blocks in the photo)
It's only by a matter of centimeters (if I wiggle around the rotor the small grid connector is attached to, the exact shape of the deadzone changes quite a bit), but as a result several ships which used to print just fine are now left with large unfinished gaps on the inside.
Since the radius of the welder doesn't seem to have changed I suspect the issue stems from either the offset of the center of the welding zone, or some other code affecting how the block bounding boxes and welder bounding box interact
