Sorters are broken?

With drain all on, does it override the black list or is the black list still active?
Can you tell from pictures what is on black list and what is on white list?
If white list is highlighted then it should only show items on white list and not both white and black list items.
Why do I have gravel and stone in this container? Both are on black list.

Unfortunately we've been unable to reproduce the issue you're describing. Only one list is active at a time, either blacklist or whitelist depending on your selection.
Drain All setting does not affect the filters, it simply attempts to move all items in the direction of the arrow. Active Filters define which items can be affected by that.
Unfortunately no, we cannot tell from the pictures you've attached how your conveyor system is set up. You could upload your creation to mod.io as a world or a blueprint and share a link in this thread, we can take a look at it.
