Space Engineers bug

Hello,
I have just lost 2 hours work on this game on PS5.
The save game is not working.
Having searched for this problem, it appears on Steam in 2017 as a file name problem which should be remedied by 'save as', but this doesn't work either.
I have looked for the backup folder, but nothing has saved there.
There is no way of getting to the file system on the PS5.
Any ideas?
Should this issue not have been resolved after 6 years?
Any help would be appreciated,

I tried to save the game and got the message "There is not enough space for the operation. Please, remove some saved games or blueprints...", but I still have 150GB on my hard drive. The game has not saved since, but has shown no error messages, so I thought it was saving.
When I went to play again later in the day, none of the saves after the above message had saved and the backup folder is empty,

Hello Engineers,
We're currently investigating the issue. We can recommend using publishing saved games to mod.io to retain them and then deleting the whole saved data as a temporary solution.
We can confirm that the limit for game's saved data is 1.08Gb. It is intentional and a PlayStation requirement.

How do you use mod.io? I have looked at the site but no obvious way of using with ps5. How do you change save location on the console?

Open the Load Game menu. Select the save you want to publish and press the button marked Publish(Options on the controller).

Today we are releasing a hotfix (your game version will not change), for PlayStation 5 (PlayStation 4 version will be released later). We ask everyone who has problems saving on this console to please update. Please clear your local data before running it. Beware, you will also lose any (old) existing saves by doing this.
Procedure:
- Settings/Storage/Saved data/PS5 games/
- Select Delete
- Select the Space Engineers and press the Delete button
It is necessary to start from the beginning. This should prevent any recurrence of this issue.
This update should fix the gradual increase of save file size when saving repeatedly.
Please let us know if continue to experience any issues. Thank you for your continued patience, and for working through this process with us.
