Save Files

Solved

Hello, I’ve sent out a report recently concerning a save file bug that I’ve noticed hundreds of other people are happening. I’m sure you know about which bug it is but to be sure, it entails “Not enough space for the save”. I had been watching this game for a very long time, it was a big part of my childhood. Since it’s port to PS5 I’ve never been more excited to play anything more. It pains me to come home and be unable to sit down and play it due to this. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling, and resetting saves but to no avail. I do not wish to delete all my saves as this was my very first play through. It may just be a beta bug but as far as I know, it’s currently unplayable. Is this in the works of being fixed? If so, what will happen to my saves?

Hello Engineer,

We're currently investigating the issue.

We can recommend using publishing saved games to mod.io to retain them and then deleting the whole saved data as a temporary solution.

Hello,

Today we are releasing a hotfix (your game version will not change), for PlayStation 5 (PlayStation 4 version will be released later). We ask everyone who has problems saving on this console to please update. Please clear your local data before running it. Beware, you will also lose any (old) existing saves by doing this.

Procedure:

- Settings/Storage/Saved data/PS5 games/

- Select Delete

- Select the Space Engineers and press the Delete button

It is necessary to start from the beginning. This should prevent any recurrence of this issue.

This update should fix the gradual increase of save file size when saving repeatedly.

Please let us know if continue to experience any issues. Thank you for your continued patience, and for working through this process with us.

Kind Regards

Keen Software House
