Controller schemes need fixing.

Playing on PS5 atm. running into a major UX issue.

I can't use the Flight Alternative controls atm because going from classic controls to Flight Alternative everytime I use my jetpack is vomit inducing and unplayable.

We need to be able to change the controller schemes for each state the player can be in independently in the settings. (Character, Jetpack, Grid/Ship, Cams, Spectator.)

We also need to be able to set the controller scheme for a grid from the main cockpit for situations where one scheme may not suit the grid but another does.

(E.G. Rovers suit classic better but a Light fighter might suit Flight Alt better.)

Lastly on the topic of Rovers it would be nice to have a seprate control scheme for rovers using the triggers as throttles.

Ideally players should be able to map the control scheme of a grid from the main cockpit so they can choose the best layout for the purpose of the grid (and to troll your friends).

Bit of a bullet list below that I used to help write this feedback.

Settings

- Character Control

- Jetpack Control

- Spectator

- Camera

- Ship Default Control

In Main Cockpit,

Control Scheme menu =

- User Default

- Classic

- Flight Alternative

- Rover?

- Custom?

Custom Controller scheme settings would need to include the following as a minimum.

-Speed

-Yaw

-Pitch

-Roll

-Strafe

And the mapping options need to include at least.

- 2 buttons. (X and O on PS4/5)

- R3, X and Y axis. (right thumbstick)

- L3, X and Y axis. (left thumbstick)

- R2. (right trigger)

- L2. (left trigger)

For players looking for a temporary work around I use any windows PC with ReWASD to remap my controls and Remote play to connect to my PS5. It doesn't need to be a good PC you could do this with a Rasberry pie or an old laptop.

(This allows me to remap my entier controller and switch configs at the press of a button, this can cause a varying amount of input delay depending on your connection and isn't a perfect solution.)

Yes we desperately need this, how it was thought that having acceleration and steering on the same analogue stick was a good idea is beyond me!! Even steering being separated on the right stick would be better

Trying to get full lock on your steering angle while actually accelerating/moving is extremely irritating to say the least

If anyone in the support team plays ARK Survival evolved. Please adopted a similar user interface!
