Not enough space to perform this operation PS5 Post Patch NOT FIXED
Hello there,
Im on PS5 im new to the game and initially played for 45 hours then ran into this issue about a week back, after some searching on google i found that deleteing the ps5 save game storage would fix the issue and from then i disabled backups on my new file.
After starting my new file it took about 3 days and the issue came back today 30/05/2023.
I have deleted ALL of my ps5 data and uninstalled the game and re-installed it just to make sure and all of my cloud storage was gone too and STILL i have ran into this issue after it was "fixed" in the most recent update.
I can assure you it is not fixed - My first save file ran into the issue at 0.7mb in size and it was the only file and my second save that ran into it after deleting everything is 0.8mb.
Can somone please help with a perma fix for this once and for all and stop advising players its fixed because it is not. My file was post update with no backups and a totally clean system with no data in cloud or local storage and it happened again.
Hello Engineer,
Could you please tell us if you're using mods?
Just to specify, in the release before last we have fixed an issue where deleting a save in-game would not delete the save from Console Storage. We're still investigating the storage issues. Those are two separate issues.
Could you please tell us what your current Console Storage Saved Data size is? We're assuming those 0.7Mb and 0.8Mb values are from the in-game Load Game Menu?
Kind Regards

Hello Engineer,
Thank you for the responses.
Could you also please tell us if you're storing the game and saved data on an SSD or on the console's HDD? Are you using PS4 or PS5?

Hello Engineer,
Thank you for the quick responses, this is extremely helpful. Could you also please tell us if you're subscribed to any blueprints? Also if we understood correctly, you've been using the same save and using Save button to overwrite it. Did you have the auto-save feature enabled?
Kind Regards

The only blueprints i have are ones i have created myself in game and saved to mod.io incase i have to delete my file again. Nothing was stored locally upon my newer save blueprint wise. I havnt downloaded anything from the workshop that others have created if that is what you mean by "subscribed"
As for the save yes, i only ever have one save and overwrite it i disabled backups in advanced settings but left on the autosave feature.
I will answer any questions you have as soon as i can as it not only helps you but it will hopfully fix the issue for everyone and make this exceptional experience playable for more to enjoy including myself, the sooner its fixed the sooner i can continue my time with it.

Just and update that may or may not help. I decided to press options prior to deleteing my world save on the load save screen and found i can publish a world to the workshop. I then deleted my cloud save and console storage so i had nothing locally, i then booted up to the main menu, hit start, new game, workshop, found my world loaded it an then used "save as" and since then i have been able to continue with the same file and use blueprints again.

Hello Engineer,
Would it be possible to share a link to that save? That would really help us investigate the issue further.
Thank you.

Hello,
Today we are releasing a hotfix (your game version will not change), for PlayStation 5 (PlayStation 4 version will be released later). We ask everyone who has problems saving on this console to please update. Please clear your local data before running it. Beware, you will also lose any (old) existing saves by doing this.
Procedure:
- Settings/Storage/Saved data/PS5 games/
- Select Delete
- Select the Space Engineers and press the Delete button
It is necessary to start from the beginning. This should prevent any recurrence of this issue.
This update should fix the gradual increase of save file size when saving repeatedly.
Please let us know if continue to experience any issues. Thank you for your continued patience, and for working through this process with us.
Kind Regards
