Hello Engineer,

We're aware of the issue where deleting saved games in-game doesn't remove them from Console Storage. The issue has been fixed in the latest release, but you still might have lingering save files in your Console Storage that cannot be seen in-game.

Please verify how much Space Engineers saved data is taking. You can do that via Playstation Settings/Storage/Console Storage/Saved Data/Delete

We can confirm that the save file limit is 1.08Gb.

Thank you.

I'm sorry for disturbing but we can't play on our world and we really don't want to lose it

Hello Engineer,

Please try deleting all saved data using PlayStation tools at Settings/Storage/Console Storage/Saved Data/Delete. To retain any saves or blueprints, please publish them to mod.io.

Thank you.

I'm having the same issue on PS5 with a brand new save after having deleted all my previous save data and starting from scratch. I got a couple hours into a new ship build and bam, not enough space. It's a single incomplete ship with not much complexity.

Hello Engineer,

We're currently investigating the issue. We can recommend using publishing saved games to mod.io to retain them and then deleting the whole saved data as a temporary solution.

We can confirm that the limit for game's saved data is 1.08Gb. It is intentional and a PlayStation requirement.

Hello,

Today we are releasing a hotfix (your game version will not change), for PlayStation 5 (PlayStation 4 version will be released later). We ask everyone who has problems saving on this console to please update. Please clear your local data before running it. Beware, you will also lose any (old) existing saves by doing this.

Procedure:

- Settings/Storage/Saved data/PS5 games/

- Select Delete

- Select the Space Engineers and press the Delete button

It is necessary to start from the beginning. This should prevent any recurrence of this issue.

This update should fix the gradual increase of save file size when saving repeatedly.

Please let us know if continue to experience any issues. Thank you for your continued patience, and for working through this process with us.

Kind Regards

Keen Software House

I got my PS5 back from warranty repair and the first thing I did was try the PS5 version of SE. I followed your instructions to the letter, even though I really didn't wanna lose any of my previous designs (which I wasn't even able to upload to mod.io at the time because of the memory issue), and so far the game had been running smoothly. I have been pushing it pretty hard by turning on experimental and raising the PCU to 500,000, then populating the world with lots of PCU heavy stuff, and so far my file size hasn't increased exponentially like it did before. It looks like you've resolved the issue. Thank you for your diligence!

On a different note, would it be possible to make it so that blueprints are tied to your PSN across both platforms, not just the platform you created them on? I know you can upload to mod.io, publish the blueprints, then download them on the other platform; but that leaves the blueprints exposed so others can download them. Mod.io doesn't have an option to make blueprints completely private, at least not that I can find, because even setting them to private still allows friends and subscribers access to your blueprints. I really don't want just anybody to be able to access my private blueprints. I had to upload my PS4 blueprints to mod.io, publish them, change them to private, download them on my PS5 save, then request a deletion of the blueprints. I don't know if you, the game developer can make it so personal blueprints are tied to your account in general, or if that's a Sony thing. That would allow us to bypass mod.io altogether and be able to access our blueprints whether on PS4 or PS5.

Anyways, thanks again for everything you've done!
