"unable to merge, the bounding box would intersect after merge"

Trying to merge pretty much anything together results to "unable to merge, the bounding box would intersect after merge" and the merge blocks just flicker.
I mean as simple as this won't work. (the merge blocks are on, they just flicker red and yellow)
I mean cmon programmers, give it some slack! doesn't need to be like millimeter work!
Return it as it was!
