UI buttons too big - hard to see selected state

Make the UI buttons smaller, or give an option to scale them. It is annoying to have to scroll up and down in the settings of a block to change settings that are all over the place. The layout wastes so much space. Buttons could easily be placed in 2 rows or more and closer together.
Make the thin white border - which signals the selected state of a button now - thicker and maybe green or yellow to make it more obvious. Also, block settings don't need to have separate "On" and "Off" (HTML style radio) buttons. The label could change to "On" when highlighted and "Off" when not (like a HTML checkbox), saving even more buttons and space.
