So, when you need to change a specific setting on your grid like the thrust override on an engine, what do you do? Open up your menu, search or scroll through the list, and change the setting.
What if instead, we had a console that would work like the vending machine, but with the terminal itself.
This would allow much more precision control in combat situations or on the go testing.
